My Real Me vs. Your Real Me

People know you through their own lenses. It doesn’t matter who you really are. People know you the way they want to know you. If people don’t perceive what you do as valuable, no matter how valuable it really is, it will be obsolete. It is a war between perception and reality. Often, it is the reality that defeats the perception. However, there are times that perception prevails. The fact that you are 9 times more likely using Internet Explorer to read this blog than other web browsers, despite their superior performance to Internet Explorer, testifies that perception can beat the reality. This is true for both big corporations and individuals. Surprisingly, most people either are oblivious of this or simply don’t care about it. Maybe, the reason that you did not get the job offer, despite being qualified for it, was simply you lost it to the perception of you.

P.S. As stated in Bible, Satan is (or was) an angel. However, our perception of Satan as a nemesis to Good definitely beats its angelic nature.
